As with many quality solo artists Banksy got his first taste of the music industry whilst performing in a band. This provided him with great on stage experience ( as well as in the recording studio) with "Counter Act" featuring in local "battles" and various other events around Melbourne. During his time in the band Banksy played bass guitar and shared lead vocals as the band impressed audiences in venues all over Melbourne including Volt Nightclub, Arena Bar and the Barleycorn Hotel.

In 2003 Banksy parted ways with the band and traded his bass for a stunnning MATON acoustic/electric guitar in pursuit of a solo career. Since then, he has focussed his energies on perfecting his skills as a singer/songwriter and has become quite a talented and unique musician. With a voice like no other and songs that could make a grown man cry. Bansky has truely never looked back.
